Little Black Dress

Hey guys, summer is finally here! Woo hoo! Lately my style is becoming a bit more clean, refined and polished. I’m striving to create a uniform for myself by having key pieces that I wear frequently which are the foundation of my wardrobe. While at the same time mixing in fun and dramatic pieces too. At the end of the day it’s always important to remain true to yourself. I’ve definitely come a long way in figuring out my style and I’ve come to the conclusion that my style will be a mix between classy, sexy and loosely fitted. Some days I want to wear looser fits, but then other days I do want to wear something that hugs me in the right places. It’s all about the mood and vibe for me, as well as the occasion, that will determine my look for the day. Only few are lucky enough to get their style right early on, but once you do you feel like a brand new person. With that said, get style inspired and shop this look below.

Mini Dress x Thigh-High Boots

I’m a sucker for mini dresses and skirts. With my height they’re a great way to make your legs look longer. For a sexy feminine look I would pair mines with some sandal heels to show off the legs. In this look I decided to go with the over-the-knee boots to give the dress a more stylish edge. This shirt dress actually doubles as both a top and a dress, so very versatile. There’s just something about over-the-knee boots paired with wide brim hats that just works. Topping it off with the hat was a no-brainer. Even though this look is a ‘fashion’ look, it is actually sexy too. Showing just the right amount of skin between my knee and thigh leaves a lot to the imagination. Shop the look below!

7 Boot Style Every Woman Should Own

So Fall is just around the corner – womp, I know! Like it or not, it’s just about that time to start thinking about layering and bundling up. I’m personally not a fan of the colder weather – I’m a summer girl at heart. So with summer almost coming to an end, it can be a bit depressing for me. But that’s another story- or blogpost. I’m still trying to master the skill of layering – a littler secret, I really don’t layer that much when the temperature drops. I just throw on my coat and go! My thinking is as long as my legs, ears and hands are covered and my coat is on I’ll be okay. I mean, I never dress planning on staying out in the cold for long anyways. For me boots are one of my favourite pieces to wear in Fall/Winter to show off my style. The styles are endless and you can easily work them in your hectic schedule from day to night. To help you out in the boot department, I’ve done my research and found seven boot styles every woman should own. Okay maybe not all seven, but you get what I’m saying.

These boots are perfect for casual weekend wear. Wear them with some jeggings paired with a biker jacket in the Fall/Winter or for a more festival look pair them with a dress in the summer.

Vince Camuto Hasia Suede Ankle Boots ($44.70)

My favourite look to rock these boots with is over leather pants, a white boyfriend tee and a leather jacket.

Enzo Angiolini Semia Leather Moto Boots ($64.98)

Rain boots have become super chic and stylish these days. They look best over skinny pants, but can also be pulled off with a dress or skirt for us commuters.

Dirty Laundry Riff Raff Knee High Rainboot ($50.00)

This style may just be the most classic of them all. If you have no idea on what kind of boots to buy, your safe bet is to go with a Chelsea. It suits everyone!

Top shop Month Chelsea Boots ($90.00)

This style will probably cost you the most. Call this an investment boot and one you want to take good care of so that it lasts you for a number of years.

Tory Burch Marlene Riding Boots ($495.00)

The open-toe boot is a great fashion forward item. It adds that extra flare to your outfit and can take an outfit from day to night in a second.

Steve Madden Nextstar Boots ($96.94)

This style is usually worn for a more dressy occasion. It looks great over tights in the winter with a mini skirt.
