Leather Jacket

Black, White & Gray

Cheers to the weekend!

I still cannot believe that it’s mid December and it’s still so mild outside. But i’m not complaining by any means. I’m enjoying every bit of it while it lasts.

I put together today’s look with a relaxed vibe in mind. When you think of mini skirts, sexy automatically comes to mind because you are showing your legs. Also usually with a-line skirt, pairing it with a more fitted top tucked in gives you a more pulled together look. Instead I wanted to look less put together so I left my white button up hanging over the skirt. I paired it with some pantyhose from H&M, which are super cheap and is usually my go to place to buy them. Over the years i’ve had such a love/hate relationship with pantyhose. They’re such an essential item when you live in a colder climate yet they can be such a pain in the butt. They do wonders for our legs, but god forbid something clings onto it and there goes that pair. I’ve purchased expensive pairs and i’ve purchased cheaper ones. The conclusion is I don’t see a huge difference in fit, but a slight difference in the amount of wears you get out of it. They both get ruined the same way, but with a little hair spray or a little freezing technique (I can’t wait to try) apparently they last longer. I finished up the look with a leather jacket from Suzy Shier and some black booties. Lastly, I tied a gray knitted sweater around my waist for some cool factor. For me this is a great styling trick to make you look less put together, as if little to no thought was put into your look. Paired with a leather jacket and you’re an instant cool chick. Sexy is always the easy route for us women, but try turning that sexy look into something loose from time to time because loose is sexy too.

6 Ways To Wear A Leather Jacket

photo(1)

No doubt about it, the leather jacket is a wardrobe staple and one item anyone can rock. It’s versatile and can dress up or dress down an outfit – whether at the office, out running errands or out for the night. These days, the leather jacket is frequently seen in color and that can add some pop and tone that tough look down a bit. So whether your style is the classic, crop or color, there’s a leather jacket out there to fit anyone’s style. See below some of my favorite looks put together by some oh so stylish ladies.

A leather jacket paired with a white shirt and jeans is a solid classic look. See how she leaves one part of her shirt hanging, this is a great to make your outfit look effortless.

A quick and easy way to pulling off the leather jacket is to simply wear a matching top and bottom. She went a bit further here taking some risks, adding some metallic to this look.

This is look is perfect for casual Fridays at the office. A good rule to keep in mind when wearing two colors in your outfit is to pair complementary color with each other. Sporting teams are a great place to see this rule play out.

Yes it’s okay to wear a leather jacket in the summer, I promise! Cutoffs plus an oversize basic tee and open-toes with your leather jacket thrown over the shoulder. Try it!

A full patterned skirt is the perfect pairing for a crop leather jacket. Because there’s a balance with the femininity of the skirt and the toughness of the jacket, finished off with pumps, it works. This is something you can definitely wear to an event or dinner date.
